How to Monetize the Serenity Theme with Adsense

This is the 6th of a series of 12 videos on how to build a premium WordPress site using the Genesis Framework and the Serenity Child Theme by StudioPress. In this video we show you how to monetize the website with Adsense. There are 2 AD blcoks on the site which are:

468×60 and 120×600

When adding the 468×60 AD block, there are 2 places you’ll need to edit in the WordPress admin. The first place you’ll go to in the WP admin is Appearance > Editor > click on “adsense.php” > paste in your 468×60 Adsense code > click Update. The 2nd spot you’ll need to go to in the WP admin for the 468×60 code is the Widgets section. Go to Appearnce > Widgets > open Header Right and drop a Text widget into Header right > paste in 468×60 Adsense code > click Save and you are good to go.

When adding the 120×600 AD block, there is only 1 place you need to go to in the WP admin and that is the Widgets section. Go to Widgets > open Sidebar Bottom Left > drag and drop a Text widget in that section > paste in the 120×600 Adsense code > click Save and you are good to go.
